Its walls are inscribed with the names of more all the soldiers who died in the conflict.

GURUDWARA BANGLA SAHIB

Location: Ashoka Road, Hanuman Road Area, CP, New Delhi

Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is the most important Sikh place of worship in Delhi, which is also known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as a sacred pond inside its complex, known as the ‘Sarovar.’ It is both a peaceful spiritual abode and a famous tourist attraction place. The most beautiful part is, visitors are always welcome here, and an excellent meal is available at no cost in the large Gurdwara Kitchen, where hundreds of people sit on the floor and eat their meal together under one roof.

If you live in Delhi then Dilli Haat is a notable tourist spot worth visiting. It’s like a paradise for every shopping and food lover. The bazaar is located in the commercial center of South Delhi, just opposite the INA main market. A wide range of local foods street from the various regions of India.

If you love handicrafts then one could attend the various cultural events organized here from time to time. It was basically set up by the government to provide a platform for craftsmen to come and sell their artwork, which concept is hugely popular. Maybe you don’t know there are two other Dilli Hats in Pitampura and Janakpuri as well. But again the original one is best. Although they’re larger but have failed to replicate the ambiance or success of the first INA Dilli Haat.

THE LOTUS (BAHAI) TEMPLE

Location: Shambhu Dayal Bagh, Bahapur, New Delhi

Timings: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm(summers) & 9:00 am to 5:30(winters), Mondays Closed

The Lotus Temple also called as Bahai Temple as it looks like a lotus flower. The temple symbolizes the unity of four religions viz. Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is situated near Kalkaji Mandir Marg. One of the stunning temples has its doors opened for people of religions and beliefs. The temple is surrounded by nine pools of water around the petals and the lush green gardens.

It looks more attractive at night when it’s attractively lit up and the temple is without a doubt one of the must-visit places in the capital. It is such a marvelous architecture but also to experience a new way of meditation in a completely different delightful and soothing ambiance, which was built in 1986.

BEST PLACES NEAR DELHI, HUMAYUN’S TOMB

Location: Mathura Road, Nizamuddin, New Delhi

Timings: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Daily

The Humayun Tomb was built in 1570 though it looks like a Taj Mahal in Agra because it was inspired by the Taj Mahal’s creation an excellent example of Mughal architecture. These gardens reflect the royal look of the first major Mughal monument in the city, dating back to 1570, which was commissioned by the wife of Humayun, Hamida Banu Begum.

The best time to visit during the afternoon or late afternoon when you can take a perfect shot of the place. To be very honest, this will be the best monument you find in Delhi and you can add this to your bucket list.

WASTE TO WONDER PARK

Location: Near Nizammudin Metro station, Sarai Kale Khan, New Delhi

Timings: 11:00am to 11:00pm, Mondays Closed

Yes, you read it correctly! These marvelous monuments in Waste to Wonder made out of Scrap & Waste. This is the first-ever Seven Wonders theme, which is designed by using waste products! Around 150 tonnes of industrial and other waste were used to establish this.

National Zoological Park is a perfect destination place to visit on weekends, which is also known as “Chidiya Ghar“. Inside the zoo, you find about 1350 animals and birds of over 130 species from around the world. It has a plethora of amphibians, reptiles, mammal, and birds belonging to countries like Australia, Africa, and America apart from India.

A perfect spot for a picnic during the winter season and if you are an animal and nature lovers then this is a must-visit for you. The entire place can be explored on foot if you want to witness the Indian Rhinoceros, Swamp Deer, Elephant, and white tigers in their natural surroundings. The Zoo is spread in an area of around 176-acres and is situated near the Old Fort(Purana Qila).


I could have mentioned many more places but I thought to mention those places, which are worth visiting whether you are from Delhi or traveling from outside. I know, everybody is aware of the nature of Delhi’s Temperature, which goes extreme every year. In summer, you find severe heat and the temperature goes up to 45-48 °C, and 6-9 °C in winters. So, choose accordingly when you are going to visit these cool places in Delhi.
