You can visit Naukuchiatal throughout the year, but the best time to visit just after the Monsoon, when sightseeing is comfortable and pleasant around the colorful landscapes.

Time – Around 1 hour 10 Minutes 

I am not sure if you have heard about the Ramgarh hill station in Uttarakhand, not the Sholey movie one. It is one of the most beautiful places to see near Nainital Town. Ramgarh also is known as the fruit bowl of Kumaon because the place is full of exotic fruit orchards like plums, apples, pears, peaches, and peers. This is the view from our balcony where we stayed and now you can see how beautiful it is to stay around for a day at least.

The best time to visit is from October to May when the orchards of Nathuakhan are turned into colored by fruits will be a worthwhile travel experience. Ramgarh is heaven for photographers and Vloggers. The fascinating sunrise and sunset is a lifetime experience and an ideal getaway if you are looking for offbeat places to visit near Nainital Town. Photographers, travelers, and anyone seeking a relaxing break must-visit Ramgarh.

FASCINATING PLACE TO VISIT NEAR NAINITAL – SATTAL

Distance – 43 km

Time – Around 1 hour 25 Minutes 

Sattal is one of the ideal places to visit around Nainital as the lush green area full of oaks and pine is something that soothes the eyes and soul. A group of seven freshwater lakes each in a different hue of green and blue and is ideal for trekking and fishing, a stash of nature’s bounty and loads of migratory birds and mesmerizing views make this wonderful place called Sattal. It has lush green trees all around, and the crystal clear water lake as in the below image.

Sattal is a perfect spot for boating, water sports, sightseeing, yoga, and wellness. The best time to visit there from April to June and September to December. Sattal is a perfect place for adventures like Camping, Trekking, and Boating. Boating is the most interesting activity to do here as the lake is surrounded by the dense oak and pine forest. Sattal has become a favorite picnic spot for locals and tourists alike.

MUKTESHWAR

Distance – 47 km

Time – Around 1 hour 55 Minutes 

Mukteshwar is one of the most beautiful hill stations near Nainital and a perfect snowfall point in the Winter season nearby Nainital. If you want to try rock climbing and rappelling with an excellent view of the valley down below at Chauli ki Jali. The destination gives each one a splendid view of the Himalayan ranges and quite covered by full of fruit orchards along with rolling meadows. One can have a breathtaking view of Nanda Devi peak and various others. Mukteshwar is a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts.

Again, it is the best place for trekking, camping, paragliding, and rock climbing. the best time to visit Mukteshwar from October to June. The Mukteshwar Shiva Temple present here is known as Mukteshwar Dham and dates back to around 350 years, which is considered a prominent place of worship in Kumaon. Time – Around 15 Minutes

Tiffin Top is the second highest peak in Nainital after China Peak and makes for a wonderful trek. This place a famous vantage point in the scenic hill station of Nainital and one has to trek for about 4 km to reach this viewpoint. You can also hire a horse (between Rs.500 and 700) to take you to the destination point. There are plenty of adventure activities that can be done such as rappelling and rock climbing, and its soothing and peaceful surroundings make this a great place for photographers to visit. Indeed, it is one of the best sightseeing spots in Nainital that gives you a 360-degree view of the city.

One more thing, there is no barrier railing at the edge of the cliff, be careful about that!
